Every generation has its definitive boy brands. In the 80’s and early 90’s, bands like New Kids On the Block (NKOB) ruled the roost while Gen Z grew up listening Big Time Rush and the like.

Have a look.

1. 5ive

3. Big Time Rush

Big Time Rush didn’t last for more than 5 years, but during that time they produced some great pop music. Perhaps their first major single “Big Time Rush” was their best song ever. 4. Westlife

This boy band had a great, although a short, run. This Irish band is best known for their hugely-popular single “Uptown Girl”. For some reasons, the band couldn’t impress the U.S. audience, even though it was immensely popular in the UK. The only single that was a hit in the U.S. was “Swear it again”.

5. Menudo

This list wouldn’t be complete without this band, which ruled the boy brands space for years, starting from late 80’s. Referred as the OG of modern boy bands, the group comprised of Danny Wood, Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, and Joey McIntyre. The group called it quits in 1994. However, they came together once again much later and in 2011 toured with the Backstreet Boys. As you may have guessed, this tour was a great success.

Formed in 1995, this iconic band sang their way to fame with songs such as “Bye Bye Bye” and “I Want You Back”. The group lasted only 7 years, but if they were to come together again, we’re sure there would be a huge implosion on Facebook and other social media sites.
